A new generation of mobile protection systems for Collections Preservation
Collections and archives stored on libraries shelves are particularly susceptible to deteriorations caused by biological agents, notably fungal agents, since documents are made most of the time of hygroscopic material which can be used as a nutrition source by molds.

During the 1980s, improvements in the conservation of the cultural heritage have evolved along two lines:
- a reduction of systematic chemical treatments (possible detrimental effects on the materials)
- a restoration policy of restricted interventionism on the works
